Carolien Groenink-Lindenhovius completed her medical training at the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC). She has been working as an ophthalmologist since 2012. She also worked at OLVG West (former Sint Lucas Andreas Hospital) in Amsterdam and focuses mainly on cataract surgery, retinal diseases, and paediatric ophthalmology. The fact that physical conditions in other parts of the body can sometimes affect the eyes make her field of expertise even more interesting. She practises the whole range of ophthalmology but has a special interest in the medical retina, anterior segment surgery, paediatric ophthalmology, and eyelid surgery.
