Drs. Esther Moerman studied Medicine at the University of Amsterdam (Academic Medical Center – AMC) from 1992 till 2006. She completed her Surgery training in the period 2002 to 2005 at the AMC and OLVG.
After this, she chose to specialise further in plastic surgery. From 2005 to 2010 she received her training into plastic, reconstructive, and hand surgery at the AMC, the Dutch Cancer Institute Antoni van Leeuwenhoek (NKI-AvL), and the Red Cross Hospital in Beverwijk. Upon completion of the required European examinations in 2010, she also became a Fellow of the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
Esther has been working as a plastic, reconstructive, and hand surgeon at the OLVG in Amsterdam since 2010 and became head of the department in 2012. She also joined the team at Medical Centre Jan van Goyen in 2018.

Dr. Moerman keeps herself up to date with the latest insights by regularly taking additional courses in the Netherlands and abroad and by going on work visits, such as her visit to professor Khouri at the Miami Breast Centre.
