'In my work, quality of life is paramount. I approach abdominal wall surgery from a high-volume expertise, innovation and scientific research perspective, where developing guidelines and registering outcomes are essential for improving care. I believe it is important that patients feel heard and involved; that is why I take the time to discuss treatment options in detail and encourage them to think along about their care pathway.'
