In healthcare there is always a field of tension between privacy legislation on the one hand and maximum patient care on the other. Below is a description of the types of personal information we receive and collect and the measures we take to protect the personal information.
Privacy declaration
Medical Center Jan van Goyen attaches great importance to the protection of your privacy, even when you visit our website.
MC JvG has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss or any form of unlawful processing.
The personal data you enter via the MC JvG website will only be used to handle feedback and complaints or to register registrations for services, events or meetings. This concerns names, addresses, date of birth, patient numbers, substantive complaints and other requested data.
Your data will not be used for purposes other than those described above and will never be made available to third parties, unless we are obliged to do so by law or you have given explicit (written) permission for this.
For more information about how we handle patient medical data, how we guarantee the confidentiality of this data and what rights you have as a patient with regard to this data, please refer to the patient data privacy statement.
With the arrival of the new privacy law General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on 25 May 2018, privacy rights have been expanded.
Image & sound recordings
In order to guarantee the privacy of patients and employees, prior permission and supervision from the marketing & communication coordinator is required for making recordings in and around the building of the Jan van Goyen Medical Center. Recordings are understood to mean all forms of sound and/or image recording.
