Learning goals
The following learning objectives are central to the refresher course.
Breast surgery in general practice:
– Recognizing the most important indications for referral to a plastic surgeon for breast complaints
– Recognizing complications of breast implants and determining the appropriate course of action
– Recognizing ASIA/Breast Implant Illness, explaining it to patients, and knowing when referral is appropriate
– Being aware of alternative reconstruction and augmentation methods
Hand and wrist complaints in general practice:
– Common hand complaints
– How to recognize and treat them
– Diagnosis and further investigation yes or no
– Hand therapy or referral to secondary care
