Cataract surgery

The cataract surgery is performed as an outpatient procedure. The procedure is more or less painless and not very stressful. You will get a local anaesthesia by means of an injection near the eye or with eye drops. A small incision is made in the eyeball after which the lens is placed. There is no need for stitches. You will be able to leave the medical centre after a few hours, but only when accompanied by someone else. Your vision will be clear again the next day and you can resume your activities.
