Driver’s licence checkup

During a driver’s licence checkup, the ophthalmologist checks:

  • the visual acuity
  • the eye pressure
  • the lens
  • the retina/macula

You will first get eye drops so the physician will be able to carry out the examination properly. The checkup itself will take about 15 minutes and the costs are €90.-. You need to pay this amount in cash. After that, you can take the completed CBR form with you.

Pay attention: When you call for an appointment, you can often drop by for the checkup on the same day. PLEASE NOTE: the costs for the driver’s licence checkup are €90.- including 21% VAT. This examination is not covered by any basic health insurance package
