Glaucoma: increased eye pressure

Glaucoma is a condition whereby an untreated increased pressure in the eyeball leads to loss of vision and which can, eventually, lead to blindness. There is also another type of glaucoma whereby the eye pressure seems to be normal but which will lead to a characteristic defect of the optic nerve.
