Sclerocompression Therapy

With sclerocompression therapy, a fluid is injected into a few locations into the varicose vein. The veins are then flattened (compressed) by applying a cotton wool wad and a tight compression stocking.

The injected fluid causes the varicose walls to stick together and shrink within a few weeks. The blood will then flow via other veins. Most people do not experience any pain during this treatment, and sedation will not be necessary. We usually treat one leg at a time.
